a VISION–FLO community welfare project

It is no less worthy of mention that company-policies of VISION Technologies Corporation Private Limited encompass the welfare of its workers and stitchers, at the front line. One such recent initiative is to establish VISION FAIR PRICE SHOP. In this community welfare project, both VISION Technologies and FLO (Fairtrade Labeling Organizations International) have put their hands together for the welfare of workers and stitchers who are associated with VISION Technologies especially and for whole community in general.

VISION FAIR PRICE SHOP was inaugurated on October 2, 2009 by Mr. Rolf Rothfelder of uhlsport, Germany.

Following were also present on the occasion.

• Mr. Ahsan Naeem – CEO, VISION Technologies Corporation Private Limited
• Mr. Mohsin Naeem – Director, VISION Technologies Corporation Private Limited
• Mr. Aslam Pervaiz – Director, VISION Technologies Corporation Private Limited
• Mr. Sardar Rehmatullah – Secretary General, VISION Workers Union

Around 400 workers and stitchers of VISION Technologies also attended the ceremony and welcomed the welfare gesture of both VISION Technologies and FLO. They thanked FLO, in special, for providing support to VISION Technologies which is trying to further extend that support to its workers and stitchers through different community welfare projects.

Mr. Sardar Rehmatullah – Secretary General, VISION Workers Union addressing

Addressing to the workers and stitchers of Vision Technologies, Mr. Sardar Rehmatullah said:

“I, on behalf of VISION Workers Union, welcome Mr. Rolf Rothfelder, Mr. Amjad Ali Shah, Mr. Nasir Dogar, Mr. Ahsan Naeem and all the workers of VISION.

I must state that VISION FPS is basically made for the workers and stitchers who work very hard all the day. I hope that it will benefit them and they will be getting their household items on FAIR PRICES. We appreciate the efforts of VISION management in establishing this FPS because this project was not possible without their help. We look forward to help workers more with the help of FAIRTRADE and expect doing more business with them.

I request FAIRTRADE buyers, including uhlsport, to buy more FAIRTRADE products from VISION and I also request workers of VISION to provide their maximum efforts to produce THE BEST quality for buyers. I urge all the workers to pay more attention towards efficient and better-quality production.”

Mr. Amjad Ali Shah – Fairtrade Liaison Officer for Pakistan & Central Asia addressing

Addressing to the audience, Mr. Amjad Ali Shah said:

“I am very pleased to see the FAIR PRICE SHOP coming to reality. During my first meeting with VISION FT JB, we realized that the available funds to start the FPS Project were not sufficient. Mr. Jamil assured me that the management of VISION would show full cooperation for this project.

As representative of FLO, I am thankful to VISION Management and all of you on completing this project. This FPS Project is not of FLO or of VISION but this is your program. You are the first among five FT certified producers who have achieved this landmark of establishing FPS. In the coming days, we’ll remain in touch and will try to bring more effective programs for workers and stitchers.”

Addressing to the Chief Guest of the occasion, he said:

“Mr. Rolf! We’re very pleased that you have come here to Sialkot and honored us at this special occasion. I, as local representative of FAIRTRADE, thank you for promoting FAIRTRADE in your products. We further wish that your sales of FAIRTRADE products increase in future and you become an important source for the welfare of workers of your supplier.”

Mr. Nasir Dogar – Chief Executive, IMAC (Independent Monitoring Association for Child Labor) addressing

Commenting about the project, Mr. Nasir Dogar said:

“I would like to say just two things, first of all every work relates to its own benefits and responsibilities. We don’t need to worry about our RIGHTS if we are fulfilling our RESPONSIBILITIES honestly. If you work hard considering VISION as your family then there should be no problem of your RIGHTS. If you work honestly, you’ll increase our credibility. IMAC’s credibility among the buyers or brands is just because of its impartiality. There is no reason that we work honestly and our orders or sales don’t increase.”

At the occasion, the chief guest, Mr. Rolf Rothfelder said:

“My name is Rolf Rotherfelder I am from UHLSPORTS Germany. I have been working for a long time in Pakistan, for almost 22 years. We always tried to support you and give more and more business. We appreciate the help and the businesses provided by you and wish having a better future together.

Now I would like all of you to go to the FAIR PRICE SHOP and buy goods for your family and support them. I wish you best of luck for the future.”

Mr. Ahsan Naeem – CEO, VISION Technologies Corporation Private Limited addressing

At the end, Mr. Ahsan Naeem said:

“First of all I would like to thank all the guests who have taken out time for us from their busy schedules.

As we all know that business situation, in these days, is not that good because of the global recession.

This year we have worked pretty much for FLO and we expect a huge increase in their business in coming year.

I want to state that the project, we are working on, is at it’s temporarily place. We’ve thought to build a Three-Story building which will be a model in the Sialkot city.  This would then help the workers to buy items of good Brands at lesser rates for their families. The profit of middle-man has been eliminated and we’re buying directly from manufacturers. In the last, as Mr. Rehmatullah said, consider VISION as your home and try to play your roll for its growth.

Mr. Rolf! I would like to remind you that we’ve 22-years long association. The recognition that VISION has achieved, you’ve played an important role in that. We, all members of VISION, firmly confirm that we all will work more hard to provide you better services in all areas.”

All the guests also visited the SHOP and expressed their joy over a successful launch of VISION FAIR PRICE SHOP as a new FAIRTRADE welfare project.
